Prices quoted are only an approximate indication of cost.

The reviews here are a mixture of one volume texts and other thematic books which focus on a particular area of post-16 geographical study. Some are more suitable for teachers than students.
  • Affordable one-volume texts are essential, especially for those who have to purchase their own copies of books or where sixth forms are underfunded. However, don’t expect any one volume text to be enough.
  • Each A-level specification differs in the weighting it gives to different areas of geographical study. A topic studied at AS for one exam provider may be studied in far greater depth for another at A2 (ie the textbook chapter may provide more or less than you need).
  • Pay careful attention to the scale of study (local, regional or global) and the type of case study the exam specification requires.
